Free School Programme
In addition to the in-depth Dog Do's and Don'ts education programmes available for purchase from DSS Animal Management we also offer a FREE school programme to primary and intermediate schools in Wellington City, Franklin District and Manukau City and to public kindergartens in Manukau. The programme is presented by our trained staff and includes a DVD, lots of interaction with the children, resources for the teachers and booklets and certificates for the children.
The presentations focus on giving children strategies to help prevent dog attacks,(Keeping Ourselves Safe), how to behave around dogs and how to care for a dog. The presentations to the older children also include the laws and rules for owning a dog. The aim of our presentations is to promote responsible dog ownership and to prevent dog attacks on children.

Primary and intermediate schools in Wellington City, Franklin District and Manukau City can arrange for our staff to visit their school by contacting Vicki in Wellington ( vicki@dssl.co.nz ) and Tricia in Manukau and Franklin ( tricia@bga.co.nz ) |

From Kawakawa Bay Kindergarten Head Teacher – “Fantastic – Everything was so relevant and suitable for our children. Bronwyn realised very quickly we had a very young age group and she adapted everything to suit their needs. Parents and children were very excited by the Take Home Booklets and Certificates. Thank you so much” |
