As part of our community education programme, DSS Animal Management attends many events and shows related to our services.
We have extensive display material that we use for events that either require a marquee or have indoor sites. Part of our display includes our education DVDs whenever we have access to a power source. Our staff mans these displays and are able to offer valuable advice and information. For smaller events we send one or two Animal Control Officers in their vehicles with relevant hand out material. We are fortunate to have relationships with Butch Pet Foods and Bayer Health Care (Animal Health) and we are able to give out samples and information on their wide range of animal products.
DSS Animal Management regularly has displays at the following events in Manukau City: Ambury Farm Day, Clevedon A & P Show, Puhinui 3 Day Event, SPCA Open Day, Pet Expo, Omana Children’s Day, Franklin Country Field Days and many others plus unmanned displays to promote dog registration and safe behaviour around dogs.
